Bring 1 litre of water (per 100g pasta) to the boil. Add salt if desired.
Add pasta to the boiling water, reduce heat, stir occasionally.
Maintain a slow boil, uncovered, for 8-10 minutes. Stirring gently.
Remove from heat and drain well.
